Goodville Staff Member Earns AIAF Designation

This week one of our Goodville Mutual employees passed her final exam to earn her Associate in Insurance Accounting and Finance (AIAF) designation. Alyson Leaman, Goodville Mutual’s Controller, earned the AIAF designation, which provides her with in-depth knowledge of insurance accounting, finance, and risk management.

The AIAF designation is awarded by The Institutes, and to earn the title, professionals must pass a series of several exams. The Institutes website refers to the AIAF as the “premier designation for all finance and accounting professionals”.

Two Goodville Staff Members Earn CPCU Designation

On September 17, 2016, two Goodville Mutual staff members were honored for earning the CPCU designation. Our President and CEO David Gautsche and Phyllis Knape, Product and Compliance Support, attended the 2016 CPCU Conferment Ceremony in Honolulu, Hawaii. This Ceremony honors the tremendous effort and dedication these two displayed in attaining this designation.

The Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation is highly respected within the property-casualty insurance world. It is awarded by The Institutes, and to earn the title, professionals must meet requirements in education, ethics, and experience. Candidates study topics including insurance law, risk management, and accounting. Once a candidate achieves the designation, they are considered subject matter experts in their field.

Recently, Paul Styer, one of our Personal Lines Underwriters, passed his final exam to earn his Associate in General Insurance (AINS). The AINS designation provides professionals comprehensive knowledge of insurance principles, practices, policies, and coverages.

The AINS is awarded by The Institutes, a leading provider of risk management and property-casualty insurance education. To earn the title, professionals must pass several exams. This program allows students to choose from several different completion paths based on their specific professional needs. Paul chose a path with an emphasis on personal insurance.
